The transaction involved financings for both Bestsport (continued operation and development of O2 Arena Prague, one of Europe's leading multifunctional arenas) and Hotel SPV (STAGES HOTEL Prague asset, a lifestyle hotel operating under Marriott's Tribute Portfolio brand). Both assets form part of an integrated entertainment destination in Prague, combining world-class live events, conferences and hospitality services.
The legal team advised the Finance Parties on all aspects of the transaction, including the structuring, negotiation and execution of the finance documents. The team also advised on the adaptation of the then existing financing arrangements to reflect the spin-off (including the transfer of part of the existing financing) to Hotel SPV, supporting the successful completion of this strategically significant financing. In relation to Cypriot law aspects of the transaction, the team worked alongside Cypriot law firm Elias Neocleous & Co. LLC.
